Improving the Product Page: Advanced Price and Sales Analytics

I suggest expanding the product page to make it more informative in terms of analyzing the item’s value. Currently, users can view product information and a sales chart, but to fully assess the price, they have to analyze the chart on their own and compare different metrics.

It would be helpful to consolidate the key metrics directly on the product page. For example, next to the current price, display the average price over 7, 30, and 90 days, the minimum and maximum prices for the selected period, the number of sales, and the percentage change in price.

The sales chart itself could be made more functional: add the ability to switch between periods of 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, and 1 year; the ability to hover over a specific point to view the price and date of sale; and a visual display of the minimum, maximum, and average prices for the selected period.

Additionally, a simple indicator showing the current price relative to the historical average price could be added. For example: “Price is 8% below average” or “Price is 12% above average.” This would allow the user to understand almost immediately how much the current price differs from the typical market price.

Another useful feature is price drop notifications. A user could specify the desired price for a particular product and then receive a notification when the price reaches that specified value.

As a result, the product page will become more than just a page with information and a “Buy” button—it will be a full-fledged price analysis tool. Users will be able to quickly understand price dynamics, see the current trend, and make a more informed purchasing decision without having to navigate between different sections of the site.
